Antique & Alternative Processes

A study of the early photographic processes that led to the widespread adoption of the silver-based chemistry used in today's film photography. These processes included cyanotype, van dyke prints, gum bichromate, and wet plate collodion.

The two images pictured here are tryptichs captured at Goosewing Beach in Little Compton, RI, and are contact printed with cyanotype chemistry using digital negatives.
